"Today marks IDAHOT – the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. As I prepare to join the LGBTQ Employees Association in my office at the Resist March in June, I’m taking this moment to proudly stand with LGBTQ people here in our city and around the world. With a significant spike in attacks against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people here in LA, human rights on the line at the national level and gay men in Chechnya being persecuted, it’s a perilous time. But my office will always have your back, whether it’s our work on hate crimes, taking on immigration fraud, our clinics for homeless youth or just being an ally in City Hall."
