LOS ANGELES— City Attorney Mike Feuer announced that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Alan Schneider has sentenced Walter Calle, 52, to 11 years in jail after a jury found him guilty on 17 counts of child sexual abuse.
“There is nothing more important than protecting our children, and my Office will do everything in our power to hold those who harm children responsible for their actions,” said Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer. “Deputy City Attorney Lara Schwartz once again did an incredible job standing up for abused children.”
In addition to jail time, Calle was sentenced to 5 years’ probation, lifetime sex offender registration, 52 sex offender counseling sessions, and a 10 year restraining order.
The City Attorney alleged that Calle molested a family member for two years beginning when she was 14 years old. Deputy City Attorney Lara Schwartz prosecuted the case.
